Media-Society Press & Media Credentials
A professional credential should do more than carry a name and photograph. It should make the holder easy to identify, easy to verify and clear about the professional capacity in which they are working.
Media-Society issues individually numbered, digitally verifiable Press & Media Credentials to journalists, correspondents, photojournalists, video journalists, editors and selected media creators whose identity and current professional activity have been reviewed by the network.
The credential is designed for professional interactions with editors, institutions, event organisers, interviewees and other counterparts who need a simple way to confirm who the holder is, what role they are accredited for and whether the credential is currently active.
A credential built to be verified
Identity reviewed
The holder’s identity is checked against the information and identity documentation supplied during the application process.
Professional activity
The professional category shown on the credential reflects the media activity reviewed by Media-Society.
Individual record
Each credential receives its own MSP number and secure verification record. It is not a generic membership card.
Live status
The verification record reflects the credential’s current status, so an expired, suspended or revoked credential does not continue to appear as active.
What appears when a credential is verified
Every Media-Society credential carries a unique number in the format MSP-YYYY-NNNNN and a QR code linked to its secure verification record. Depending on the credential, the verification page can show the holder’s name, portrait, professional category, credential number, validity information, associated publication and any linked active assignment.
The live verification record is the authoritative status check. A photograph, screenshot or photocopy of a card may be useful for identification, but it does not prove that the credential remains active.
Private identity data — including identity-document numbers, home address and private contact details — is never published through the public verification record.

PRESS — Journalist
For professionals principally engaged in reporting, writing, interviewing, research and news gathering.
PRESS — Correspondent
For professionals who report regularly from a particular country, city, institution, beat or specialist field.
PRESS — Photojournalist
For professionals whose principal editorial activity is news, documentary or feature photography.
PRESS — Video Journalist
For audiovisual reporters and camera journalists producing editorial video coverage.
MEDIA — Editor
For professionals carrying an active editorial responsibility within a publication or the Media-Society network.
MEDIA — Creator
For selected visual and multimedia professionals carrying out verifiable editorial media work or assignments.
Who can apply
Applications are open to people with real, recent and verifiable media activity. Evidence may include published articles, photography, video, editorial credits, an active portfolio, commissioning information or other material that allows the review team to understand the applicant’s professional work.
You do not need to become an Association member before requesting a credential. The same application can request Association membership, a Press & Media Credential, or both together. They remain separate decisions: approval of one does not automatically imply approval of the other.
How the review works
1 · Apply
Provide your professional details, work references, identity document and a suitable credential portrait.
2 · Review
Media-Society reviews identity, current professional activity, work evidence and the professional category requested.
3 · Decision
The application is approved, declined or held for additional information. Membership and credential decisions are recorded independently.
4 · Issue & maintain
An approved credential is issued with its MSP number, validity period and verification link. Holders are expected to keep their professional profile current.
For organisers, institutions and editors
You do not need a Media-Society account to check a credential. Scan the QR code on the card or use the verification desk and confirm the live record before relying on the credential.
If the holder is covering a specific event or story, a separate Media-Society editorial assignment may also be linked to the credential. Event organisers remain free to require their own registration, security checks or accreditation procedure.

What the credential establishes — and what it does not
A Media-Society Press & Media Credential is a private professional credential issued by Media-Society.com Press & Creators Network. It establishes the holder’s reviewed relationship with the network, professional category and current credential status.
It is not a credential issued by the Spanish Government or another public authority, it is not a statutory professional licence, and it does not by itself guarantee admission to an event, building or restricted area. Access decisions always remain with the relevant organiser or institution.
